Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Osage and Pawnee Counties Through 8:30 PM

Osage County, Oklahoma — A severe thunderstorm is moving across west central Osage County and northwestern Pawnee County in northeastern Oklahoma this evening, and the National Weather Service in Tulsa has placed both counties under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning through 8:30 PM CST.
What is happening:
At 7:50 PM CST, radar showed a severe thunderstorm about 3 miles southeast of Red Rock, moving northeast at 40 mph. The storm is tracking toward Fairfax, Ralston, Burbank, and Apperson. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 3:00 AM CST for northeastern Oklahoma.
Local impacts:
The storm is capable of 60 mph wind gusts and penny-size hail. Winds that strong can damage roofs and siding and bring down tree limbs. Hail this size can dent vehicles and damage tender plants left outdoors.
What to do:
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building and stay away from windows until the storm passes. Do not drive through flooded roads, and keep clear of downed power lines. If you hear thunder, head indoors right away.
